To celebrate National Poetry Day, we welcomed the Former Poet Laureate for Peterborough to the Academy.

Charley Genever ran an interactive assembly and performed at both campuses for our entire Year 7 cohort. She also ran poetry workshops for selected students, where they learned to express their thoughts, feelings and sense of self through poetry - both written and performed.

Our Year 7s were a credit to the Academy in terms of their behaviour and engagement and produced some truly creative and wonderful work.

We'd like to send a huge thank you to Charley, who engaged and enthused even the most reluctant poets.
