Sleaford held the premiere of the short film ‘Polar’, written and shot locally by former student Sam Roy, and staring many students from the Academy and Joint Sixth Form.
The film tells the tale of friendship and loss, and is both heart-warming and incredibly funny. Filmed in black and white, the story describes colours throughout and cleverly lets the audience draw their own interpretation as to what that would represent on the screen.
The premiere finished with a Q&A from Sam and the team, followed by a chance to mingle with the cast and crew. If you get a chance to see ‘Polar’, we would highly recommend it, and we look forward to seeing more films from Sam and the team at Maze Bound Films.
