Specialist Learning Support Assistant - Behaviour
Salary: NJC Scale 3, pts 5 to 6, £16,137.52 to £16,431.47 (actual).
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, 8:30 to 3:30
Contract Basis: Fixed term basis of 1 year in the first instance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Specialist Learning Support Assistant who is keen be part of a team supporting the work of a successful department.
You will be required to work with students with particular needs related to behaviour / undiagnosed special educational needs (SEN). These are students who do not currently have an EHCP but who may need one. This will include working with up to three students at a time on a programme of up to four weeks:
- Providing one to one support
- Working with students to identify and implement strategies to positively manage their behaviours with a focus on promoting and enhancing their learning
- Working with their teachers to identify strategies to be able to meet need without additional Teaching Assistant support
- Where additional Teaching Assistant support looks like it will be needed longer term, work with the SENCO to progress next steps in formalising SEND need and in providing evidence towards a potential EHCP application or Paediatric referral
Additionally, to support the induction of students who are new arrivals to the country, such as refugees and asylum seekers.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Maths
Salary: NJC Scale 4, pts 7-11, £19,048.06 to £20,482.91 (actual)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HLTA to join a successful and talented team of staff. The position will be based at our Ruskington Campus.
The role will provide valuable additional support and capacity within the Mathematics Faculty and the ability to offer support in Science would be an advantage.
Specifically the HLTA will:
- Increase skilled support within the Faculty.
- Work in partnership with teaching staff to raise the learning and attainment of students.
- Support teaching staff to assess student needs and progress and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support learning and promote student independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
- Give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
- Provide priority support for Pupil Premium students who have additional needs not met by an EHCP.
- Provide EHCP support where required.
- Provide cover for absent Teachers within the department where required.
- Provide cover for absent Teaching Assistants where required.
- Provide support to the Head of Faculty.
- Have the flexibility to undertake a small number of timetabled lessons where required for an additional payment.

HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT - SPECIALIST ALTERNATIVE PROVISION MATHS LEAD

In response to the growth of the Academy and the increasing SEN and Pastoral requirements of our students, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HLTA – Maths Lead to join our SEN team.
Playing a pivotal role in the development of the Academy’s brand new Specialist Alternative Provision, the successful candidate will provide valuable support and capacity to identified groups of year 10 and year 11 students.
Specifically the HLTA – Maths Lead will:
- Work in partnership with the Alternative Provision SENCO Lead, as part of a dedicated HLTA and LSA team, providing skilled support to raise the learning and attainment of identified groups of students.
- Give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access a reduced and focused curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement. This will include a particular focus on developing the whole child including skills for adulthood and employability.
- Assess student needs and progress and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support learning, remove barriers and promote student independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
- Undertake timetabled lessons for groups of up to 8 students. Timetabled lessons will include a focus on Maths, Life Skills and potentially one or two other qualifications, plus non-qualification activity such as cooking, sport and gardening.
- Lead on the delivery and assessment of GCSE Maths as appropriate, working in liaison with the Academy Director of Maths, to include planning, adaptation of resources, marking and reporting.
- Work in collaboration with the SEND and Pastoral senior leaders, to establish and implement adapted and appropriate systems to reward and recognise positive behaviours and ensure a ladder of consequences for negative behaviours.
The successful candidate will have experience in working with students aged 11-19 and a proven track record of successfully working with disaffected young people. The successful candidate will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills as essential elements of the role will include building positive relationships, supporting self-belief in the students, removing barriers and being tenacious.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline for working with young people aged between 11-19. They will also hold a minimum of 2 GCSE’s to include English and Maths from grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent.

Corporate Services - Finance Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to provide essential administration assistance and support to the day-to-day operation of procedures and routines related to Finance, Pupil Premium and Free School Meals.
The successful applicant will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and preferably experience of working in a generalised finance administration role.
You will be required to have good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular MS Word, Excel and Outlook. You should also have experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment.
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification in a related area or have the ability to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.

ADMINISTRATION PASTORAL SUPPORT FOR PASTORAL LEAD

We are delighted to be able to advertise the above opportunity to work alongside our existing Pastoral team. This role will be based on our Sleaford Campus.
Key responsibilities will include administrative tasks where set jobs will be assigned to you as priority. The post holder will also take a lead in providing administration support related to student suspensions, paperwork required for outside agencies and parental letters. This will include but will not be limited to filing, typing and sending letters, reprographics work and data input.
The post includes using our BROMCOM electronic recording and reporting system and the ability to analyse data. Full training is provided.
Your role is also supporting our team of Student Progress Managers by investigating high priority behaviour incidents and meeting with students/parents as required.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in working with students age 11-19, have excellent organisational, administrative and inter-personal skills and will work well under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team is essential, as are excellent keyboard skills, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines / respond to changing circumstances. Experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not considered essential.
