Music for Youth National Festival
A select group of our sixth form students were chosen to go through to the Nationals of the Music for Youth Festival being held in Birmingham after initially competing in a regional competition. The performers were Cliodhna, Rachel, Shannon, Robyn, Callum and Oliver who are collectively known as Harmonics.
The Harmonics were one of only three groups from Lincolnshire, and one of only ten groups in the Rock, Pop, Funk and Soul category. They had the opportunity to sing three songs; Call Me in the Afternoon by Half Moon Run, Bird Set Free by Sia and Toxic by Britney Spears.
They also took part in a workshop with the Royal Northern College of Music Session Orchestra and where they were later invited onto the stage to perform alongside the orchestra.
