Our first back to back races of the season and with a new car saw the potential of being a very stressful couple of days. This proved to be the case in the first few hours.
The new car didn’t even make it out to practice which meant race one became practice and a very worthwhile one too, as the front tyres managed to shred a few mm of rubber in the first 20 minutes. After sorting out the problems, race two we managed a maiden victory, over a lap ahead of any other team.
Blyton looked to be an interesting day with a very thin track and not a lot of overtaking places. Saying that, all of the drivers in both cars made an amazing job of it. Although James managed to find the grass in race 1 and disconnect the battery connector. This did not stop Zephyr as it went back out on race 2 to complete the podium and a 3rd place. Should have been 2nd. The new Borasco just blitzed the field with another 1st position and still power in the batteries.
Overall 2 new lap records, 2 x 1st positions and a 3rd. Well done team!
