Positive Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness
St. George’s Mental Health Awareness week- November 25th-29th
As part of the nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the importance of talking about Mental Health, St George’s will be holding a Mental Health Awareness week at the Academy.
During this week, students will take part in a range of activities to raise awareness of the importance of Positive Wellbeing. Topics relevant to year groups will cover:
- Exam stress
- Coping with stress
- How sleep improves your mental health
- Body image
- Self-belief and esteem
- Positive thinking and mind set
Parents should have received a leaflet with some information about how to help support your child. You can find that leaflet here along with links to any useful agencies/ websites referenced in the text.
You will also find a Positive Wellbeing e-mail address - firstname.lastname@example.org , which you can use to contact the Academy if you have any concerns regarding your child’s mental health.
