A Level History students to Bishop Grosseteste University

On Tuesday 11th June, the History department took our Year 12, A Level History students to Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln for an ‘NEA’ day. NEA is the non-exam assessment part of their studies, where students are required to conduct a Historical Investigation. To help with their research, BGU delivered workshop sessions on essay writing, understanding interpretations and historical research, allowing students to download as many e-resources from their extensive database on a free USB stick they provided. The students also got to have a tour of the campus to view the facilities on offer.
Both teachers who accompanied the students stated they were extremely proud of the way the students conducted themselves around the campus and within the workshops. The students made valuable contributions to workshop discussions and gained a wealth of material ready for their historical investigations. Well done Year 12, you are a credit to the school!
