Following Government guidance, St George’s Academy plans to start a phased re-opening for Academy students in years 10 and 12. We will also continue to provide support for children of key-workers and vulnerable students.
All students who have been identified as available to come in have been sent a pack containing a range of items to help prepare each child for their return to school. The Academy has also produced a number of supporting documents which have been posted home, but are also available on the Academy website (click here).
These documents contain a Student/Parent charter, Student/Parent handbook, new timings for the day, One-way system maps, locations for dedicated lunch zones and a social distancing sports guide. An overall risk assessment is also published for your reference.
The Academy has now increased its use of virtual lessons using Microsoft Teams, as well as producing a number of pre-recorded lessons. Staff are in regular contact with students via the Academy webmail and are continuing to update the website with additional home study packs (note: paper copies are available on request by contacting our Reception)
If you have any questions, or concerns, please call the Academy on 01529 302487.
