READING INTERVENTION LEADERS
Salary: NJC Scale 4 pts 7-11, £18,249 to £19,515 (actual)
Hours: 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Contract Basis: Permanent
Start Date: 1 January 2024 or as soon after as possible

With a focus on supporting students to access the full curriculum by raising their reading age, we are excited to be able to offer the opportunity for individuals to join a new team of Reading Intervention Leaders. This new team will palpably enhance the life chances of young people whose reading ages are currently a barrier to learning.
Reading Intervention Leaders within the Academy will undertake the following responsibilities:
- To work with small groups of targeted students delivering reading intervention strategies to ensure all students are able to make progress
- To access, monitor, record and report on the reading and comprehension skills of these students
- To organise all the relevant resources for the reading interventions
- To contribute to identification and selection of students to take part in the programme and the identification of the most appropriate strategies for each student
- To be in regular contact with the parents of these students, updating on progress and supporting the parents to contribute to the progress of the child as far as they are able
- To communicate with teachers, tutors and pastoral staff to ensure optimal attendance and accurate registration of the students
- To run break-time reading reward clubs
- To actively contribute to a culture of reading for pleasure

Family Support Manager
Salary: NJC Scale 6 to SO1, pts 18 to 25
£25,368.34 to £29,421.18 (actual)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
(Usual working hours are 8:00 to 4:00 with an earlier finish of 30 minutes one day per week, to be agreed dependent on Academy needs)
Contract Basis: Permanent

We are delighted to be able to advertise the above opportunity to work with our existing Pastoral teams. This role will be based on our Sleaford Campus.
The Family Support Manager will:
- Take a lead in ensuring the welfare of students by safeguarding.
- Take a lead in providing management support work with the Academy’s Pastoral Team and Progress Managers to ensure that all concerns are acted upon.
- Work with Virtual School, Social Services and Carers to ensure that all needs are managed and met for The Academy’s ‘Looked after Children’.
- Assist families who are experiencing short or long term problems, by offering practical help and emotional support. Ensure the students and families can cope by empowering them to address short and long term challenges, reducing problems and risks and in some cases, helping to make sure that children can remain with their family. Support parents and children with a range of social and personal issues by liaising with outside agencies and managing this process.
- Take on the responsibilities of supporting and line managing the following team member’s; staff in first aid on both sites, staff at Leicester Street and the Ruskington/6th Form Family Support worker.
The ideal candidate will hold Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline for working with young people aged between 11-19.

We are delighted to be able to advertise the above opportunity to work alongside our existing Pastoral teams. This role will be based on our Sleaford Campus.
Key responsibilities will include supporting admissions and integration of students into Years 7-11 alongside a team of pastoral staff and providing a high level of support to students in all matters of day-to-day life beyond the classroom, with first-line concern for their social and emotional well-being.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in working with students within this age range, have excellent organisational, administrative and inter-personal skills and will work well under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team is essential, as are excellent keyboard skills, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines / respond to changing circumstances. Experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not considered essential.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 2 GCSE’s to include English and Maths from grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent or be able to demonstrate a willingness to work towards achieving these qualifications.

APPRENTICE CORPORATE SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR
Salary (and Allowances): Apprentice rate of £5.28 per hour in the first year

Contract Basis: 18 months Apprenticeship
We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Corporate Services Administrator undertaking a Level 2 Customer Services Apprenticeship, in partnership with Lincoln College.
You will support the provision of clerical and administrative duties within the Academy. This will be based primarily at the Ruskington Campus, but you will be required to work at the Sleaford Campus as part of the holiday cover requirements for the reception team.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - German
Hours: Up to 12 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Flexible hours, to be agreed with successful candidate)
Salary: NJC Scale 3, pts 5-6, £6,518 to £6,627 (actual, based on 12 hours per week)
Contract Basis: Fixed term basis until 31 August 2024.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic German Foreign Language Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic Modern Foreign Language Department. Primarily based on our Sleaford Campus, the role may work across both our Sleaford and Ruskington campuses.
As the successful candidate, you must have a good standard of English and be a fluent speaker and scribe of German. You should also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the grammar and structure of the German language together with excellent communication skills.
The role will assist in the teaching of all year groups, but with a particular focus on preparing students for oral GCSE exams. The ability to support with A Level exams would be an advantage.
This role may suit a recent graduate interested in exploring the teaching profession and gaining an exciting experience in the thriving Modern Foreign Languages Department of a busy secondary school.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITIES

With a focus on supporting our increasing number of students with special educational needs, we are excited to be able to offer a range of opportunities for individuals to join us in the role of Learning Support Assistant.
Join our existing team of staff to support in this area, the roles will provide essential support in our general classrooms, in our Personalised Learning Centre and in our dedicated and specialised inclusion facility.
You will be required to work with individual children, having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child’s statement where appropriate and/or groups of children as directed by the teacher. You will also provide support to the teaching staff across a range of child-centred activities to promote child development and learning.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 GCSE’s to include English and Maths from grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent or be able to demonstrate a willingness to work towards achieving these qualifications. The ability to travel between the two campuses is considered essential.

Casual Worker Agreement
We are seeking to recruit reliable and highly organised individuals to assist with public examinations.
Responsibilities will include greeting and seating candidates, distribution and collection of examination papers, invigilation of examination sessions and ensuring compliance with exam board regulations at all times.
The hours would be by arrangement throughout the examination seasons.
